An old favorite...
The Washington Monument covered in scaffolding until this spring
The decorative scrim is cropping up more and more to beautify construction sites, Alison Levasseur reports on architecturaldigest.com.
The 555-foot Washington Monument was covered with elaborate top-to-bottom scaffolding for more than 30 months until this past spring, during a $15 million project to repair damage from the 2011 earthquake, according to washingtonpost.com.

The Washington Monument has always been one of my favorites. It was a prominent sight from my apartment near Foggy Bottom when I lived in Washington many years ago.
