Apple appealing to enterprise customers...
Apple and IBM really, really want your next work-issued smartphone to be an iPhone, Peter Pachal reported today on mashable.com.
The two companies announced on Tuesday they were partnering to offer special iPhones and iPads to enterprise customers, Pachal wrote.
Under the terms of the deal, IBM will create more than 100 business-focused apps, and Apple will sell iPhones and iPads preloaded with specific apps to companies all over the world, according to Pachal.
As reported by CNBC, the partnership is focused on "transforming enterprise," Apple CEO Tim Cook is quoted as saying. The partnership aims to "deliver on the promise of mobile in a big way."
In the interests of full disclosure, I'm retired from IBM and an avid iPhone user.
