How Editing Gave us the Famous Date of Infamy

Dec. 7...

Editing gave us an iconic phrase.

How did one of the best known and ringing phrases..."a date which will live in infamy"... come about?

Turns out President Franklin Roosevelt added it while editing the draft of an address to Congress.  His address about the attack on Pearl Harbor became one of the most memorable speeches in American history.
