The U.S. quietly stepped up its efforts in the information war with Russia recently with the introduction of Current Time, a new Russian language TV service broadcast from Washington, economist.com reports.
Current Time is America's answer to Russia Today (RT), the Kremlin's propaganda network, economist.com wrote.
The U.S. started the 24-hour Russian TV channel to counter the rise of RT and Sputnik, another pervasive Russian broadcaster, economist.com added.
