Rowayton's residential real estate market posted gains at the end of the third quarter of 2016 compared with the same period a year ago.

Highlights of the year-to-date and year-over-year comparisons, according to the Darien MLS today, are:

-- Total active listings:  +0 percent;;

-- Number sold: +12 percent;

-- Sold volume: +34 percent, and

-- Average sale price: +19 percent..
