iPhone in Medicine: A Game-Changer

Awesome breakthrough...

Apple ResearchKit opens new medical vistas

Apple made several announcements on Tuesday, but ResearchKit, its medical research and health platform, clearly is the technology with the most potential to actually improve people's lives, Alan Henry reports on lifehacker.com.

"ResearchKit was probably the biggest surprise coming out of the Apple event," Scott Snyder, president and chief strategy officer at mobile engagement provider at Mobiquity told mashable.com.

"Other than working with HealthKit parters like the Mayo Clinic for HealthKit, Apple has shied away from getting involved with healthcare," Snyder told Samantha Murphy Kelly at mashable.

"But ResearchKit opens up the possibility of data from 700 million iOS devices to be mined for patterns and behaviors that create a whole new world for healthcare research," Snyder added.
