Behold the croissant-donut aka the Cronut
The surprising success last year of the cronut continues to keep its inventor Dominique Ansel in the spotlight.
Last year he won the James Beard Outstanding Pastry Chef award for the cronut.
Not bad for a guy who came the US eight years ago with nothing more than two suitcases, dominiqueansel.com noted about Ansel's winning of the award.
