It was an audacious nighttime escape, Dan Bilefsky reports on nytimes.com.
After busting through an enclosure, Inky the octopus and nimble contortionist appears to have quietly crossed the floor and slithered through a narrow drain hole about six inches in diameter. Then he jumped into the sea and disappeared, Bilefsky wrote.
